HAUL | ASOS, TOPSHOP, PRIMARK & H&M

Autumn/Winter is on the horizon [thank tha lawd] and if that's not an excuse to go out and buy new clothes, I don't know what is. I will confess this splurge did happen over the course of 2 days, which is a little excessive but hey, shit happens.

TOPSHOP Faux Fur Gilet - £65 - buy here
I'm gunna buck the trend and start with the piece de resistance.
I can swoon over faux fur gilets all I want for A/W but realistically when British winters mainly consist of rain they aren't the most practical of pieces to have in your closet [unless you can rock the drowned cat look]. However...there was no damn way I was walking away without this gilet. You guys know I am a black, maybe white, khaki at a push colour pallet kind of gal but I am literally obsessed with the colours of this piece. It breaks up an all black outfit which we all know is my second skin, it's warm and a statement element. What more could you ask for?

TOPSHOP wide leg cropped trousers - £30 - buy here
I've wanted a pair of culottes for ages now. All the coolest kids have been rockin' them forever but considering I have a fat ass/hips for days/let's not get started on my thighs I've been a little hesitant. However, these wide leg-high waist-cropped numbers from Tops are the answer. They're the perfect cinch in at the waist, flattering pants. I'm kind of sick of jeans [yup, we never thought we'd hear the day] and I want to implement for a tailored/clean vibe to my wardrobe, so these are kind of a staple piece in my wardrobe right now.

ASOS RELISH cut out boots - £45 - buy here
Let's be real, shoe-gasms' are a thing and these are the main reason for them. I've recently rekindled my love for ASOS and these bad boys seem to be the main reason. I've been after the perfect pair of pointed toe boots that don't make my legs look huge [girls, we all know it's a real problem] and it seemed ACNE was the only answer. Enter ASOS. They're my obsession and I didn't take them off for the first three days after they arrived. Soz not soz.

TOPSHOP denim shorts - £10.00 [sale] - *found in store*
I saw Kylie Jenner in these [here] and when I saw these in Tops Ox Street I decided despite lacking KJ's insane bod I'd try them. Honestly, long denim shorts are the way forward. I have real bad cellulite at the top of my thighs and I'm not a booty-hanging-out-shorts kind of girl, so denim shorts rarely ever feature in my wardrobe. These are literally a life changer. They cover all the areas I don't want on show, they're high waisted and just so damn practical for real life. Also, I took them to the till thinking they were £30 and they'd gone down to £10, bonus.

ASOS longline split front cami - £8.00 [sale] - buy here
I saw Sammi [BeautyCrush] feature this split front cami, either in a haul or a look book and couldn't resist. Luckily by the time I went to buy it, it'd gone down in the sale and has now gone down even further if you lucky people wanna get your paws on it. It's a great piece to add different lengths into a look, as well as detail with the split front. It's also an ace piece to have to transition from day to night [my next post will feature it styled].

NIKE JUVENATE - £72 - buy here
I won't lie, these are my first pair of NIKES and there's a reason behind it. I'm a big admirer or kicks, in-fact I spent most of my sixteenth year of life stressing out because I couldn't afford a pair of Jordans. I think girls in sports clothing [of any kind] is the coolest and let's be real, it's comfortable. I'm forever shoving my feet into uncomfortable shoes in the name of fashion but now I've got these babies to run and leap while I shop and also for when I haul my fat ass to the gym.

TOPSHOP ribbed cut out crop top - £18 - buy here
Not gunna write an essay for this one. Simple black crop-top, great to pair with high waist stuff during the day, transitional for night outs and a lil bit different with the cut out detail.

TOPSHOP crop striped green tee - £20 - *can't find it online, sorry!*
Least flattering pic evz and sorry my boobs are right there in your face. Again, there's not much to say about this top. I'm loving all shades of green at the mo and I saw this on Lou Teasdale and she just looked really cool so I was sold.

TOPSHOP knitted tank - £14 - buy here
Another basic to throw on and go!

ASOS Alice Ankle Boot - £14.00 [sale] - buy here
Yassssss another pair of shoes. The justification for these is that I work in fashion so I'm always on my feet, running around doing stuff and I needed something cool but comfy. Enter these shoes, the platform gives me a lil bit of heigh, the buckles add that grunge vibe we know I love but at the heart these are just comfy and for £14 you can't argue really.

 H&M Selfridges - £39.99 - buy here
I'm not an enormous H&M ambassador considering you have to size up at least 4 times to even get your arm into one of their pieces but as soon as I saw this suede shirt I let it all go. It looks great buttoned up, unbuttoned, with a skirt, as a shirt-dress, it's not black and it's the softest shirt ever...that pretty much covers it!

PRIMARK - £10.00 - *instore*
You guys lit have no idea how long I've wanted this bag and now it's finally mine. I am the worst human for shoving things in my pocket, I'm talking bank card, phone, money shoved in various pockets on my body. I hate carrying big bags and small bags annoy me because I can't fit all my snacks in there [I didn't even write that for humorous purposes, I need room for my snacks]. This bag is the perfect size, I can sling it over my shoulder and continue on my way.

I hope you enjoyed this haul guys, I wanted to make it more chatty as my OOTD posts have become less conversational and more minimalistic. I'm super glad to be back, I've got some really exciting posts coming your way. Thanks for sticking around.
See ya on Friday.

NEW IN : TOPSHOP [HAUL]

I've decided to switch things up. Instead of doing a massive haul every now and then, or just featuring new pieces in a post - I'm going to do a "New In" aka "New In My Wardrobe" post regularly, updating you guys on pieces I've been buying.

Oversized White Shirt | buy here | £30.00

*I really shouldn't have to say this but I'm well aware I have [a shit tonne of] cellulite on the back of my thighs...but whatever...*

MOM shorts | buy here | £28.00
[I recommend trying these in-store, I had to size up, they were cut teeny-tiny]

Jamie distressed high waist jeans | buy *similar* here | £42.00

I know guys, nothing black. Don't worry, I'm still very much wearing all black like I'm always off to a funeral BUT this S/S I'm definitely being drawn to really clean, fresh colours. I'm loving blue denim and white. All these items are so damn versatile and even though I don't really pay that much attention to trends, you won't see these going out of fashion anytime soon.

I hate the rubbish rips in Topshop jeans so I'll be taking some scissors to no doubt rough them up a bit, their cuts are just too clean - but overall I really like the fit of Jamie jeans. The MOM shorts were an instinctive purchase, it's so hard to find a good pair of proper denim shorts that don't show off your bum to everyone, but these fit like a dream. Oh and the white shirt, I know white is insanely risqué around me BUT I have already got a million on and one ideas in my mind about how I want to style this piece.

Also, how is it April...already? Damn.

HAUL | PRIMARK

Even though I spend the majority of my life buying clothes, I haven't featured a HAUL on TheLenihanLook for a while, so here's all the bits I brought from Primark a couple of days ago.

'Cause I'm lucky enough to work for a pretty rad company [I'm sure you can guess if you think about the brand I wear the most] I seem to only ever wear clothes from their label. I often forget about other brands and always overlook places like Primark for a complete bargain.

MENS | SIZE M | £12.00
I am so obsessed with this sweater and I have no idea why. I've always loved the American varsity look, as if you've stolen your jock-boyfriend's clothes and this jumper fulfils all of that.

WOMENS | SIZE 10 | £5.00 [each]
This S/S I want to take my style back to basics, play with texture and minimalism and I've wanted a light knit crop-top for ages now. For just £5.00 it made sense to snap up the back and white version. Styled with MOM jeans, a maxi skirt or denim shorts - these are such versatile pieces that'll last right through to next autumn.

WOMENS | SCARF | £5.00
I am a sucker for all black outfits and I've been on the hunt for a really simplistic white based scarf to lift the outfit. I practically ran across the store when I spotted this. I was on my own as well so I looked completely insane...good times. I really like the detail of the fringed ends.

WOMENS | BOOTS | £18.00
Ever since I saw Lou Teasdale in some chunky sole heeled boots I've been after the perfect pair. Yes, I know I don't need anymore black boots but it's too late now! I wore these on a night-out last night and they were so damn comfy, it was such a bouncy sole to have on a shoe. They are quite high so if you're a tall gal like me you will be a Green Giant but when your boots are this rad, does it matter, no it does not.

MENS | SIZE M | £5.00
You can never have enough sweaters, especially when the weather is as indecisive as England. I spotted this on a sale pile on the way out and I couldn't believe it was only £5.00. It's a real thick knit and super cosy, plus it's blue and white which is rare of me and jumpers so I nabbed it.

MENS | SIZE L | £3.00
Similar to sweaters, I'm always keeping my eyes out for printed tee's, especially when they're bloody £3.00. I love cutting the sleeves off of 'em and/or wear them around the house or with jeans and a leather jacket. It's a simple go-to look that everyone needs.

There's a TOPSHOP haul on it's way. Have an ace weekend lads and ladies.

HAUL | TOPMAN X URBAN OUTFITTERS X H&M X TOPSHOP

I really suck at buying Christmas presents. I come up with all these ideas then 'accidentally' wander into Urban Outfitters and ten minutes later I've got some rad new clothes and no Christmas pressies. So, here's some of the bits I've picked up recently!

U R B A N   O U T F I T T E R S

size S | Sparkle & Fade | £22

Inspired by Lexi [FashionFilth] and all the rad cut-out clothes she rocks, I've been on the hunt for the perfect piece. Obviously, I didn't have to look any further than Urban Outfitters, more specifically Sparkle and Fade. They're a brand I absolutely love, it's usually full of black androgynous pieces. I love that this particular top can be transformed from a laid look in the day to a more eye catching night time look. Slightly longer at the back than the front, as well as being a little bit sheer - it's one of those great throw on and go pieces that we all know I love.

T O P M A N

NEW YORK printed tee | size S | £16.00

I really can't put into words how much I love TOPMAN at the moment. You guys all know by now that I'm a jeans and tee gal, which is actually a lot harder than you'd think. I'm forever on the hunt for tee's that have something unique about them but aren't too obnoxious. So, of course, as soon as I saw this upside-down NEW YORK printed tee, I had to have it. Monochrome, rolled sleeves and minimalism...what's not to love?

khaki heavyweight bomber jacket | size M | £45 [buy HERE]

I've already featured this bomber jacket in an OOTD [HERE] but I wanted to talk about it all over again because I've seriously fallen in love.
I've been looking for the perfect bomber for a while now. I initially wanted to get an all black with silver hardware but as soon as I saw this khaki colour I ditched that plan. I'm well aware that Topshop are offering an all but identical version but I just prefer the less fitted structure of the guys option. It's so darn warm and looks ace with an all black outfit. All in all, it's the perfect laid back jacket.

T O P S H O P

sleeveless ponte jacket | size 10 | £42 [buy HERE]

To see one of the ways I styled this click HERE. I picked up this sleeveless jacket in Selfridges after drooling over/taking inspiration from the insane Zadig and Voltaire AW14 collection. It's the perfect layering piece, as well as integrating a different shade into my usual all black outfits. Plus, it incorporates that slightly more formal edge to my 'just rolled out of bed' look, a contrast I love teaming together.

textured sleeveless tunic | size 10 | £34 [buy HERE]

AW14 for me has been all about deep, rich greens. I love mixing this shade in with an all black outfit, I think the contrast works really well together. I nabbed this tunic mainly as a piece for work 'cause I have to switch up my style from a little less 'just rolled out of bed' to 'smart, en-trend and appropriate for the brand'. As well as that, I wanted something a little smarter than usual for dinners and events over the festive period. The only downside to this piece is the material, it's that crepe type stuff that's a bitch to iron - but all in all, I love the shapelessness to the tunic, with the split up either side, the high neck and the longer back.

H & M

[I am wearing a top promise, it was my sports bra hence it not being visable!]
size XS | £7.99

H&M are always an great place to buy basics, you can't go wrong with their basic mini skirts for £4.99 or their slightly thicker jersey midi skirts [above] for £7.99. I think a good, curve hugging midi skirt is essential for any wardrobe, either to wear with a slouchy jumper or a crop top on a night out.

size S | £14.99

I brought this piece purely on impulse, [KB I'm looking at you] and I loved it. I got it home, styled it and loved it...but a week or so later, I'm just not so sure. Ignore the black bodycon dress, we're looking at the ankle length sheer dress. It's so cool, but I'm not 100% sure I'm cool enough to pull it off. I was thinking of adding a pair of chunky heeled boots, a dark lip and what not but I'm dead worried it'll look completely ridiculous.

All in all, these are some of the pieces I've picked up lately. Now someone follow me around and slap my wrist if you see me buying anything else than Christmas presents!

COLLECTIVE HAUL | ZARA, TOPMAN, TOPSHOP

[please ignore the eczema on my arm in some of these snaps :-(]

October is a month of madness. What with working full-time, rushing in and out of Central London for loads of different reasons, attending a couple of exciting events, gigs and let's not forget I'm 19 at the end of the month; it's going to be crazy. On one of my last free Sunday's for a while, I hopped on the tube and spent the day shopping with one of my best-buds Maddy who recently moved away to Uni. Here's the stuff I picked up.

ZARA
No one does autumn/winter like ZARA. Hitting the Regents Street store, I had to show a massive amount of self-control 'cause their shoe collection is just flawless at the moment; but I managed to grab a couple of gems.

£9.99 | size S
I've learnt that if you can afford it, which I only can nowadays thanks to working full-time, investing money in good quality basics is the best foundations for any good wardrobe. ZARA are one of the best high street stores to do this. I'm well aware you can nip to Primark and get this top for £4 but for an extra bit of $$ you get a better quality material, a better cut and all round nicer top. This top is pretty simplistic but it's a great layering piece and the horizontal stripes and monochrome add a bit of detail.

£29.99 | size S
I saw this dress and just fell-in-love. I'm having a massive love affair with midi skirts all over again, teamed with a pair of chunky boots and leather jacket it's an effortlessly cool look, plus I find the shape really flatters my figure. Slightly longer than midi, this long sleeved light-knit dress fits me like a dream. I think the neckline is really unique and all together it's a great piece to have for autumn/winter.

£12.99 | size M
Electric blue is probably my favourite colour to wear [besides black, but that's a shade *smart ass comment or what*]. I'm desperate to get my hands on a bodycon electric blue dress but I saw this and it's satisfied my needs for now. Basic lightweight jumpers are an essential at a moment and a pop of colour can't go wrong.

TOPMAN
You guys know me and Topman have a bond and it was re-established this weekend. I'm in the midst of writing a post about why I love buying boys clothing so much so I won't babble on but their pieces are so ace at the moment.

£32.00 | size S
As well as electric blue, deep greens are going to be making an appearance in my AW14 wardrobe. I love the mix of this type of green with my skin tone and I can't help but love everything about this jumper. Slightly oversized, slouchy and warm as anything - it'll look ace with ripped skinny jeans and chunky heeled boots.

£30.00 | size S
IT FINALLY HAPPENED. I've been obsessing over a turtle neck sweater for weeks now and it was the first time I saw when I walked into Topman. Don't worry, this will be featured in many a look coming up on my blog - I have big plans for this simple, versatile piece for A/W.

TOPSHOP
Basic central. Topshop's a little OTT for me at the moment, so while I wait for it to hold back on the sequins and embellishments...I stocked up on some basics.

£8.00 | size 8
Deep green...again? Get used to it guys! I love this crop-top, I've already worn it too work. I'm seeing it with midi skirts and the trousers you can see peaking out in the photo [sorry about the shit quality, it's been a gloomy day!]. It's another attempt to add a little colour into an outfit, I find high necks really flattering as they take the attention away from 'dem boobz.

£10.00 | size 10
I've got this basic jersey tee in grey and black, I wear them both so much that it only made logical sense I nab it in white. I give it an hour of me wearing this tee before I spill something down it or draw on myself...but hey, it looks nice all fresh and un-stained doesn't it? I love the necklines and general cut of these tops!

£10.00 | size 10
Again, I basically bought the top above with a high neck...you can never have enough basics...right?

Hope you guys enjoyed this little haul, there's an accessory haul to follow so keep your eyes pealed for that.
Hope you had an ace weekend & Monday wasn't too painful!
